Baraza Resort and Spa is a luxurious beachfront hotel on one of Zanzibar's most picturesque beaches. With just 30 villas, the Baraza is a small, exclusive boutique hotel in the pompous sultan style. The design and furnishings result in a healthy mix of Arabic, Swahili and Indian influences, which is reflected in the architecture, furniture and decoration. During your stay at Baraza you will experience a luxurious journey through history when the sultans ruled Zanzibar. Each villa is luxuriously appointed with beautiful fabrics and handcrafted furniture and large bathrooms. In addition, each villa has a spacious terrace with a small plunge pool. The mix of different cultural influences is also reflected in the restaurant's menu, which is inspired by Arabic, Indian, Persian and Swahili specialities. The "Frangipani Spa" is one of the highlights at Baraza and represents an oasis for relaxation and recreation. Trained therapists take care of your well-being and offer a wide range of massages and beauty treatments. For sports enthusiasts, the Baraza has a watersport center with one of the best diving schools in Zanzibar. The Rising Sun Dive Center caters for diving lovers of all levels. No matter whether you are a beginner or a professional under the water, the experienced staff of the diving school is looking forward to your visit. In addition to the Dive Center, you can book daily snorkeling tours at the Water Club and also take kite and windsurfing lessons. Like every hotel on Zanzibar, you can also book typical excursions such as spice tours, city tours or Safari Blue on the Indian Ocean at the Baraza.

The Blue Oyster Hotel is located on the south east coast on the long sandy beach of Jambiani. This family owned small hotel has 16 rooms and is perfectly located to enjoy long beach walks. The sea view rooms with terrace/balcony offer a magnificent view of the sea. The more affordable Garden Rooms are set around an atrium. In the terrace restaurant you can sit in the first row and observe the fishermen and seaweed farmers on the beach from your table. The restaurant serves fresh seafood and international cuisine daily. The Blue Oyster Hotel does not have a swimming pool, but offers some attractive leisure activities. The usual snorkeling and sailing excursions can be booked with the legendary fisherman Captain Zapi. The hotel can of course organize the classic trips to Stone Town or to spice farms. Diving enthusiasts have the opportunity to book courses for every level at the neighboring diving school. Over the years we enjoyed staying at Blue Oyster Hotel ourselves, as we value the personal friendly attention offered in small hotel. Guests who don't need luxury or a swimming pool and want to experience the beauty of Zanzibar in Robinson Crusoe style have come to the right place.

Breezes Beach Club is located along the unspoilt beach on Zanzibar's South East coast, which is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the whole island. Several travel magazines agree that this beach is one of the top ten best beaches in the world, but that is not the only reason Breezes Beach Club is a romantic place for anyone looking to get away from daily stress. Breezes is known for its attention to detail, intimate and private atmosphere and beautiful unique Zanzibari style decoration. In addition, the Beach Club is home to the award-winning Frangipani Spa. Zanzibar has enchanted its visitors and few other beach hotels embody the magic of Zanzibar quite like Breezes Beach Club, where the management has made it its mission to offer you a home away from home surrounded by Zanzibari hospitality. An important factor are the room categories. There are three different room categories: Suite Rooms – 20 rooms (upper floor) Deluxe Rooms – 40 rooms (ground floor) Standard Rooms – 10 rooms (ground floor in the garden) Villa – 2 units (two Deluxe Rooms each with living room and connecting door). All rooms have about the same furnishings and size, except in the suites you have a walk-in closet and a larger bathroom. A block consists of four Deluxe Rooms on the ground floor and two Suite Rooms on the upper floor, which also allows the suites to have a very large terrace. Each room has air conditioning, mini bar, electronic safe, hair dryer, tea and coffee station and telephone. In addition, each room has a third bed that acts as a sofa when not in use. The Suite Rooms and Deluxe Rooms are also closer to the beach than the Standard Rooms.

Kilindi Zanzibar is located in the north of the island on the beautiful beach of Kendwa, tucked away on a wooded hillside with great views of the sea. The 15 dome-shaped, oriental-style pavilions are widely distributed in the 21-hectare tropical garden of a small forest. Each pavilion has a small private pool, as well as a spacious living room and bedroom with a view of the sea. Originally built for ABBA producer Benny Andersson, Kilindi brings together different aspects of different cultures. The concept, which is Kilindi's design, reflects Scandinavian minimalism coupled with exaggerated Middle Eastern architectures. Oversized white shutters grace the curved, open windows, all of which offer spectacular views over the Indian Ocean. Rising above the hundreds of years old dhow routes, each of the 15 pavilions includes a private pool as well as an exceptional bathroom, the highlight of which is a large rain shower in the center of the circular room. For families, Kilindi offers two family pavilions that can accommodate up to four people. However, the minimum age for teenagers at Kilindi Zanzibar is 16 years. If you want to escape from your stressful everyday life in a 5-star luxury resort, then you have come to the right place. In the main building, from the spectacular bar, you can look out over a 25-metre-long infinity pool that flows into the turquoise sea. After dinner you can rest here and enjoy a shisha in the beautiful "Shisha Lounge". The "Ushuwari Spa" offers a variety of different treatments. Kilindi Zanzibar is located at a convenient spot of Kendwa Beach for scuba diving and snorkeling trips at Mnemba Atoll. For those who don't want to get wet and want to be more dignified, Kilindi offers a traditional dhow sailing trip during sunset.

The Aiyana Pemba is located in the north of Pemba Island which, unlike Zanzibar's main island of Unguja, is far more uncharted and hidden away to enjoy the tranquility and solitude of a white sandy beach. The Aiyana is unlike any beach hotel in Zanzibar and one could even go so far as to say that it is unique in the world. The Aiyana was created by Ashok Sungkur, a landscaper from Mauritius, over many years of detailed work. If you take a closer look at the development of the resort, the construction of The Aiyana borders on a "stroke of genius", since all the architectural ideas and the design of the 30 villas came from Mr. Sungkur personally. At first glance, the design may seem a little strange, but the white elements made of coral rock from the Indian Ocean, paired with wood from the Pemba forests, fit wonderfully into the landscape. Almost all materials come exclusively from Pemba or the surrounding coastal areas, only details such as bathroom fittings come from abroad. However, even the avant-garde bathtubs were designed by Mr. Ashok himself and are therefore unique in the world. The closeness to nature and sustainability is not widely communicated here, rather it is lived in every area on a daily basis. In addition to the building materials already mentioned, most of the food products also come from the immediate vicinity. Fruit and vegetables from the fertile neighborhood and of course fresh fish from the Indian Ocean every day are selected by the Mauritian chef or Mr. Sungkur himself. If you get to the beach early enough, you can even attend this ceremony. The daily meals are of excellent quality and taste, and are also very balanced and healthy. The peace and relaxation factor that you experience in the Aiyana is also particularly noteworthy. You won't hear much engine noise here as the nearest road is tucked away in the woods far away and few motor boats find their way to Pemba. The many patches of lawn in the beautiful gardens are cared for with the utmost care by two donkeys named Hakuna and Matata, which means no lawn mowers and the noise that goes with them. No music is played at the pool bar or in the restaurant, as the only music of importance here is the murmur of the fountains and, last but not least, the sound of the ocean. The 30 villas are divided into five different categories, all offer sea views and direct access to the beautiful sandy beach. A magnificent infinity pool in the center of the resort is available to all guests. Of the five room categories, three offer a private pool, but these are four of the 30 villas. All villas are the same in style, yet different in decoration. The white walls are refined with beautiful paintings and subtle wooden elements. In the spacious bathroom, simple local materials meet modern and futuristic fittings and sanitary facilities. Each bathroom also has a great outdoor shower with a small garden.
